Event Date: TBD
Join Heritage Mississauga for a Spring Equinox Sunrise Ceremony led by Knowledge Keeper (Elder) Mark A. Sault (Gikinoo’amaagew inini) at the historic Robinson-Adamson House.
A member of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Mark learned many of his teachings from respected Elders of North Western Ontario while working in Thunder Bay with the Seven Generations Education Institute from 1990 to 2014. Mark retired in 2014 and returned to his home territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit where he was born and raised.
Mark has gathered and studied some of the local plants and trees that are used to make herbal teas that help with many of the health problems that plague our population and will share his knowledge of plants, harvesting and the holistic uses of sacred medicines.
On this morning, we choose to celebrate the beginning of Spring. We give thanks to the Creator for the great gifts of life, intelligence, free will and intuition. For all of these, we are grateful.
